#TBT - Asian Snacks Eat Asian Snacks

Happy Thursday everyone! It’s time for a little THROWBACK.

Last summer, the #AsianSnackSquad got together to hit up 3 Asian Snack Spots in North York, Toronto.

  1. Hot Star Large Fried Chicken - 5525 Yonge St

    - Known for their larger-than-life Taiwanese fried chicken. You definitely need to bring your appetite! My personal fave was the saucy Korean Fried Chicken inspired by the Korean yangnyeom fried chicken (양념치킨) - the spicy and sweet is everything!

  1. Meet Fresh - 5315 Yonge St

    - Taiwanese dessert shop known for their freshly hand-made taro balls, shaved ice, and bubble teas. Bingsu (shaved ice) is one of my favourite desserts - especially when it’s with red bean! It’s light, refreshing, and definitely more guilt-free than ice cream! A must-try if you’re going to any Asian dessert spot.

  2. Cheese Garden - 5291 Yonge St

    - Authentic Japanese-style cheesecakes and other delicious treats that are super decadent and Instagrammable! My personal fave was the Baked Cheese Tart. It was the perfect combo of creamy indulgence and flakey goodness.

Check out this #mukbang-style video on Gunnarolla’s YouTube channel and get ready for your mouth to drool.

UNTIL NEXT TIME,

STAY HUNGRY!

XOXO,
HYEEAH
